Program4PC Inc.

Program4PC Inc. (“Program4PC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you visit our website, purchase our products, or use our Windows desktop applications.

1. Information We Collect

Purchase and licensing information

When you purchase or activate our software, we may process information including:

  • Your name and email address provided during checkout.
  • The product purchased, transaction details, and purchase date.
  • Your software Activation Code and license status.
  • A Hardware ID generated by our software to identify the device associated with an activation.

Our payment providers may provide additional transaction or billing information needed to process and maintain purchase records.

Software and diagnostic information

Our applications communicate with our servers to validate licenses and check for software updates. We also receive technical information, including screen resolution, hardware information, and crash reports.

Website usage information

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website. Depending on your privacy choices and our analytics configuration, this may include page visits, interactions, approximate location, browser and device information, and software download or checkout-button interactions.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Process purchases and deliver Activation Codes.
  • Validate software licenses and manage activations.
  • Help customers retrieve previously purchased Activation Codes.
  • Check for software updates.
  • Diagnose crashes, troubleshoot problems, and improve software reliability.
  • Respond to customer support requests.
  • Understand website performance and usage.
  • Maintain security, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

We do not currently use customer purchase records to send promotional newsletters or marketing emails.

3. Payments and Third-Party Services

Purchases are currently processed through PayPal using our existing checkout infrastructure at program4pc.net. Payment processing is subject to PayPal's applicable privacy practices.

Some historical purchase records originated from 2Checkout, a payment provider previously used by Program4PC. We retain relevant historical purchase and licensing information to support existing customers.

We do not intentionally collect full payment card numbers or card security codes through our website checkout.

Our website also uses Google Analytics 4 and includes YouTube-hosted software tutorials. These services may process information under their own privacy policies. Loading or playing YouTube videos may involve information such as IP address, device details, and browser storage.

4. Software Activation and Updates

Our Windows applications contact our servers to check whether an Activation Code is valid, invalid, or deactivated. For license management, we store the Activation Code and a Hardware ID generated on the customer's computer.

Our applications also check for available software updates when launched and may transmit technical and diagnostic information.

5. Cookies and Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure website traffic and interactions. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies, depending on the consent and privacy settings applied.

Where required, we will request appropriate consent before enabling non-essential analytics technologies.

You can change your analytics choice at any time using the “Cookie settings” link at the bottom of any page of our website.

You can also manage cookies through your browser settings.

6. Data Sharing

We share information with service providers when necessary to operate our business, including payment processing, website hosting, analytics, video delivery, and business communications.

We do not sell customer information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We may also disclose information when required by applicable law or to protect the security and integrity of our services.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or loss.

However, no online service or data storage system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Data Retention

We retain purchase and licensing records for as long as reasonably necessary to support license validation, Activation Code recovery, customer support, and applicable legal obligations.

Historically, Program4PC has retained customer purchase and licensing records without an automatic deletion schedule.

We may delete or anonymize information when it is no longer needed, subject to applicable requirements.

9. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.

Some purchase and licensing records may need to be retained for legitimate business or legal reasons. Deleting certain licensing information may affect your ability to validate or recover your software license.

To submit a privacy request, please use our Contact Support page.

Our website and software are not specifically directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us through our support page.
